Mujeres, the kings of Barcelona's garage punk, are back! They'll soon be celebrating their 10th anniversary. Their new album «Un Sentimiento Importante» is sung exclusively in Spanish for the very first time and tells the story about the friendship between the members of the band. It's about what brings people together or what tears them apart. Be ready for a solid punk/garage songs, which are a cross between Los Saicos, the Oh Sees and Los Cheyennes. Come on baby, let’s go party !

Okay Monday

These 3 French lads belt out terrific power pop songs that take a page perhaps from a young Elvis Costello or Weezer or Fountains of Wayne, snappy guitar-centric tracks. They call themselves Okay Monday. Frontman Aurelien is a triple threat — the guy can sing, play guitar, and dance with abandon. Bassist Jeremy is suave and sure, and drummer Jean is playful and sharp. The band delivers pure power pop with a disarming sincerity and instantly reanimate the air guitarist in you. It reminds you of the nineties of course, Weezer or Fountains of Wayne and you say fucking songs, weird high-pitched voice, fucking melodies and what a hell of a noise they make with just the 3 of them.

If spilled beer and frantic, wild garage rock is your kind of thing, then this 3-piece from deep in the Ardennes woods is here for you. Whatever! is a seesaw of a rough, gritty lo-fi sound and catchy sun-filled melodies, with that little something recalling the US garage rock scene, but topped with the subtle scents of the pine trees of their home town.  After having cut their teeth on various venues in Belgium, among which several supports with noteworthy names in the game (Mikal Cronin, Young Rival, Mujeres,…), the band is now cooking up its debut, entitled Hello, Are You Real ?, to be released on April 26th (62TV/PIAS). This record is a split LP with Canadian artist Aron D’Alesio (Young Rival). The first single from this upcoming release, entitled  You Can’t Stay, has also been the subject of a music video, DIY-made and shot in Super 8 in the wilderness.

Come with friends !
